Food for Thought
To everything, there is a season,
A time to be born, a time to die
A time to build up, a time to break down
A time to plant, a time to reap
A time to every purpose under heaven
The Byrds, an American folk rock band, immortalized the song Turn, Turn, Turn! (To Everything There is a Season), in 1965. The original song was written by Pete Seeger in the late 1950s with lyrics that came from the third chapter of Ecclesiastes in the King James Version (1611) of the Bible, specifically Ecclesiastes 3:1-8.
Seeger’s lyrics for the song are usually interpreted in the context of the politically turbulent 1960s in America, with the focus on the cry, at the time, for change and social justice. But, what if there is a more important message to mankind in this passage of the Bible, since all sacred teachings often encompass more than our material existence. Could the cycle mentioned in this biblical passage apply to more than the cycles of life, with which we tend to contend ourselves during our brief sojourn here on earth?
No doubt, mankind is today at a very important turn of events in our history. Advances in Psychology and Quantum mechanics are blurring the gaps that once existed between ancient beliefs and findings in the exact sciences. Wither does this lead? How will we emerge from this latest Turn? Is there a reason for this Turn? Are there forces causing and guiding this Turn?
It is not unlikely that you have, or someone you know has, felt or asked the same as expressed in this introductory Food for Thought.
First of all, one needs to recognize that these are not just passing questions or feelings. They reflect an inner stirring that is demanding answers. Otherwise, Life, in those quite moments when we are left alone with our thoughts, becomes difficult to discern, and its purpose an uncomfortable mystery. Giving up and resigning one's fate to "the enigma of Life" is simply postponing confronting a stirring that, you perhaps have also experienced, just refuses to go away.
We may not be able to answer your specific questions, or allay your specific feelings and misgivings.
But, through our blogs and videocasts we try to explore the human experiencing from a Spiritual perspective, because we believe that it is only from this perspective that anyone can begin to gain more insight to their inner stirrings. And, this Spiritual perspective has to be based on knowledge of the Principles/Laws that govern life, as well as all human activities. Armed with this knowledge, the true seeker can begin gradually to discern plausible answers to the burning questions that beset them. This knowledge will also help to transform the mindset, thereby suggesting a different pathway to self-discovery and a deeper understanding of Life and Living.
As implied, our blogs are strictly intended to invite seeking readers and listeners to consider and reflect. It is NOT our aim to solicit non-seeking Followers and Likes. Hopefully, the true seeker understands that Following or assigning Likes does not necessarily lead to that eventual peace of mind that they desperately desire.
Where we deem helpful, we create a short video that tries to capture the essence of a blog. In addition, we use videos, developed from entertaining fictional stories and, or current socio-political events, to portray concepts in a way that makes it easier for anyone to grasp, from a Spiritual perspective, the lessons/issues involved ..
To date, our blogs have covered topics on Faith & Spirituality, History & Current Affairs, Natural Science, Social Science, Social Commentaries, Philosophy and Culture. They can be accessed from our Archive.

Spring - Symbol of a greater cycle in Creation?
Spring, though of great importance in the cycle of production on earth, is only symbolic of a much greater phenomenon in which the universe itself goes through a wider and longer cycle of Energy-infusion, Consumption of this energy , and eventual
Disintegration, to be followed again by another round of the cycle.
This greater cycle was consistent during the Ice-ages and dry spells experienced by Earth - periods when one could not identify a Spring season.
Today, science acknowledges that everything in the universe is encompassed in a process of
Energy-Infusion->Formation->Production->Disintegration->Extinction, to be followed by repeated cycles starting with infusion of power..
